2008 February 10th
Deborah was scheduled to speak with the congregation on 10th
Feb. but we had major snow storm that Sunday. However, about 15
people we able to gather and hear about Deborah's experience with the
Olive Branch for Children in Tanzania and also to hear how St.
Peter's commitment to the irrigation project will bring a positive
effect to
the health and welfare for the communities
near the Olive Branch orphanage.
The group Deborah refers to as "your family' is the first
group of people that are in the "grow co-operatives". This group
will be using the water during the dry season, which is also the
growing season.
The last two audio segments are the question and answer time
with the
congregation. This turned into a major discussion and
redesign session with the the local farmers, plumbers and
construction experts of the Brodhagen community helping Deborah modify
her plans for the irrigation project.
More notes on these audio recordings will follow later. (11Feb2008).
A DVD video of these recordings is available. You can find a copy in the narthex at the church.
