Confirmation (also known as "Affirmation of Baptism") is a year long program of learning and relationship building. Because baptism was a choice your parents made for you, confirmation is your chance to affirm (that means “say yes to”) the promises that your parents, sponsors, and the congregation made at your baptism on your behalf. When you complete the confirmation program you will have your chance to publicly proclaim your faith.
For Christians, our walk of faith is a lifelong journey. It doesn’t end with confirmation. Our hope is that this year provides a chance for you to learn more about Christianity and its’ teachings, but also to explore more deeply what your faith and relationship with God means to you.
